8-Bot

An unreleased game Made with the Upopa team during the 2018 Global Game Jam. 8-Bot is a multiplayer game in which two people play against each other on the same phone or tablet.

Each player starts with one of the eight robots that are spread in the arena, and has to shoot and kill the other player’s robot. When a player’s robot is killed, the game automatically gives the player control of one of the remaining robots.

The first player to score four kills wins the game.

I designed the core mechanic, and balanced the different robots so that each feels unique but with roughly the same power level.
